INTRODUCTION
I’m not much of a music fan. Given that the world has been falling apart since 2020 (and, as a young father, I sincerely fear societal collapse), most of my limited free time is spent listening to substantive discussions (typically podcasts and audio books) on important societal topics.[1]
If you had asked me a few months ago whether music was even worth listening to, I would have probably told you that it isn’t. Yet, I recently fell in love with a wonderful song that sparked something in me—and reminded me that music can serve as a critical motivating factor for people in difficult situations, which has been my entire reality (twenty-four-seven-three-sixty-five) since starting The Gavel Project in 2021.
Before I discuss the subject song, I urge you to consider our dreadful situation, which seems to have taken a sharp turn towards wide-scale chaos as we approach a consequential presidential election. The problem stems from the open conspiracy within the Democrat party to subvert our constitutional republic (which is done under the guise of saving “democracy”). The apparent plan is to controvert our popular elective process by installing a Presidential candidate that no one ever selected—i.e., Kamala Harris. As I will explain more fully below, considering her record, this is a horrible choice that will result in abject tyranny.
Remember, Ms. Harris was one of the first primary candidates to drop out of the 2020 election after being eviscerated by Tulsi Gabbard, who destroyed Ms. Harris on National television for her obvious hypocrisy. During an early primary debate, Harris painted herself as a champion for minorities while, at the same time, labeling Mr. Biden (her current purported “boss”) as a racist for working with segregationists as a legislator. Following Ms. Harris’s self-aggrandizing statement, Mr. Biden (in his typical bumbling fashion) indiscernibly attempted to point out Ms. Harris’s propensity, while serving as California Attorney General, to hide key evidence from criminal defendants and, thereby, secure bogus convictions (i.e., locking up potentially innocent people through rigged trials). To this, Ms. Harris boldly retorted, claiming pride in her record as California’s top prosecutor.
The situation was perfectly teed up for Congresswoman Gabbard who, when called upon to touch on Biden’s record of working with segregationists (which in fact happened), redirected the discussion back to the broken criminal justice system. Ms. Gabbard opened by pointing out that, even today, the criminal justice system has a disproportionate negative impact on black and brown people across the United States. She then continued:
Now Senator Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor and [claims] that she’ll be a “prosecutor president,” but I’m deeply concerned about this record. There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana. She blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the court forced her to [disclose it]. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California. And she fought to keep [the] cash bail system in place that impacts poor people in the worst kind of way. (emphasis added).
Harris was shocked; all she could do was double down, standing by her record as a prosecutor.[2] Then, Ms. Gabbard’s verbal assault continued:
The bottom line is, Senator Harris, is when you were in a position to make a difference and impact in these peoples’ lives, you did not. And, worse yet, in the case of those who are on death row, innocent people, you actually blocked evidence that would have freed them—until you were forced to do so. There is no excuse for that.
The final blow was swift and absolute:
And the people who suffered under your reign as prosecutor, . . . you owe them an apology.
Indeed, she does. In response, all Harris could do was limp away, again exclaiming pride in her horrible record as a prosecutor.
Getting back to our current situation, considering Harris’s apparent inclinations (listed above) we cannot give her ultimate control over the department of justice. Dissidents will be jailed, and tyranny will reign.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE ORPHANS OF THE AMERICAN DREAM TO PEACEFULLY MOBILIZE
Over the past few years, we have become the Orphans of the American Dream—especially those in my generation. The capacity to make a comfortable living, to afford housing, to attain the standard of living that our parents enjoyed is quickly vanishing.
But, hope is not lost. As an elections attorney, I know better than most that our system is rigged and our situation is bleak.[3] However, hope is not lost.
Despite being under the gun to draft a very lengthy reply brief (in an election case wherein the government is arbitrarily threatening to take my family’s home away) I believe it is imperative to take some time offer some encouragement, because we can save our country.
To do so, we all must vote. Please understand, any potential cheating is possible only on a small scale. Based upon my experience, cheating today involves finding loopholes in the law and surreptitiously exploiting them to slightly alter the outcome for a chosen candidate. If a desired outcome is captured by too large of a margin of victory, it’s harder for the unlawful victor (and for the corrupt government apparatus defending the integrity of the flawed election) to argue that a challenged discrepancy did not materially impact the outcome. Unless the challenging party can show that the discrepancy affected the outcome, it is generally upheld as valid.
Because only a portion of our population currently casts ballots (for example, only 64% of registered voters in Maricopa County cast ballots during the 2022 General Election), it’s easier for malicious actors to potentially change the outcome. Thus, it is imperative for us to motivate others to immediately register to vote and to show up at the ballot box. Stated bluntly, the more people that vote, the harder it is to cheat and the more likely we are to avoid an Orwellian society.
As a concerned father of two beautiful little girls, if you are at all hesitant to encourage others to vote, I beg you to consider the gravity of the situation in light of the words of the Supreme Court of the United States:
“No right is more precious in a free country than that of having a voice in the election of those who make the laws under which, as good citizens, we must live. Other rights, even the most basic, [will cease to exist] if the right to vote is undermined.” Wesberry v. Sanders, 376 U.S. 1, 17 (1964) (emphasis added).
Please understand, voting is the most important right we possess for a two key reasons. First, the government has a monopoly on violence. Thus, voting is the only opportunity for your input on who is granted control over which way (or at whom) the government’s guns are aimed. This is not hyperbole, and the degree of the danger is compounded given that guns come in many forms—including rigged criminal prosecutions (like those conducted by Ms. Harris)—which are bound to come if we do not immediately mobilize the electorate. Second, the individuals that we elect create the rules that we all must live under. By failing to vote, the individual is acquiescing to being ruled by people who aren’t accountable.
Put simply, if we do not mobilize and vote, the American Dream will vanish.
As I mentioned earlier, I do not typically appreciate music. However, I recently fell in love with a song (called Satellite, by the punk rock band, Rise Against) that I believe captures the gravity of our current situation and, at the same time, inspirationally calls upon the listener to overcome his or her fear to save the American Dream (please note, I cannot capture the beauty of this song, and I encourage everyone to listen to it).
If you wish to prevent this Nation from going over the edge (as I do), this song is well-worth considering as an inspirational anthem.
It opens with:
“You can't feel the heat until you hold your hand over the flame.
You have to cross the line just to remember where it lays.
You won't know your worth now, son, until you take a hit.
And you won't find the beat until you lose yourself in it.”
Although the song was apparently written years ago—it perfectly captures the moment. During the past few years (with the lockdowns, the mandates, the economic turmoil, the invasion of our southern border, and the wide-scale riots) we have undoubtedly taken a hit as a Nation. Thus, as the song calls for, now is the time for us to find our worth, and now is the time for us to capture the moment.
The Chorus continues:
That’s why we won’t back down. We won’t run and hide.
Yeah, because these are the things that we can’t deny.
I’m passing over you like a satellite.
So, catch me if I fall.
That’s why we stick to your game plans and party lives.
But at night we’re conspiring by candlelight.
We are the orphans of the American Dream.
So, shine your light on me.
As the song suggests, we are at a time in our Nation’s history where it is necessary to conspire amongst ourselves in order to save our Nation. In response to tyranny we—the Orphans of the American Dream—must stick together and act in unison.
I could drone on and on about my interpretation of each following, beautiful verses, but I believe that the overall point has been established. This is our last chance to avoid absolute tyranny. Please—save our children—and mobilize the electorate against Kamala Harris, who will undoubtedly destroy all hope.
In closing, I would like to share that I recently received the “Valor Award” from Mom Army (pictures below). I’m grateful for the opportunity to follow God’s calling and fight on behalf of the disadvantaged, and it’s a blessing to be recognized. Thank you to all that support my work (including those that give to The Gavel Project directly, those that subscribe to this Substack, and especially to my wife–whom I love beyond description).
With your ongoing help, I will never stop fighting to save our Nation.
[1] For the record, I recommend that everyone listen to Part of the Problem with Dave Smith and Robbie Bernstein if you want to hear an entertaining yet informative discussion on what’s happening in the world.
[2] Speaking as a defamation attorney, if any of the foregoing statements were false, Congresswoman Gabbard would have been sued by now for defamation.
[3] If you want clarity on why I believe that the election system is rigged, I encourage you to read the case documents in Abe Hamadeh’s quo warranto case. I also invite you to consider this post, explaining (based upon court testimony) the apparent insertion of tens of thousands of unlawful ballots into the 2022 General Election in Maricopa County.
Congratulations on receiving the Valor Award! Thanks for standing strong in this culture war and for sharing this encouraging note during a difficult time. You and other warriors are in my prayers daily. I just donated (again) to the cause. I hope you keep the home!
